    Hey Folks,

Got sorted with this last night, currently getting 37.9mbs with 1.6mbs upload. With this you are simply renewing your current contract and you get more speed for the same price you are paying at the moment. I processed this last night and I am estimated to receive 65mbs with 20mbs upload and I am a good distance from the local exchange. A friend already done his and is receive the increase in the speeds as promised.

Take a look and see what you could gain!:icon_thumright:

No problem Sandra! I mainly renewed my broadband subscription due to the increase in my upload speed, the download speed is most definitely an added bonus! :D

I'm looking at doing this as well as I would actually save £5pm by changing to Infinity - only downfall is I have to be in for the engineer and my next day off is not for another 3 weeks :crying:

I'm with VirginMedia, my internet speed went from 10 meg to 60 meg and 1 quid less a month after I put in a cancellation request.

I really hate these providers that offer very little to loyal customers(10 years with Virgin(formally telewest)), but offer all the deals for new customers.

I know I couldn't agree more mate, been with BT for a long long time and we have always had our Internet with them we have had the BT Infinity over a year now. As you said loyal customers never get the offers, only my friend was telling me about this I wouldn't have known. I believe companies should be looking after their loyal customers along with new customers.

God I wish I lived somewhere other than in the sticks, fiddling with the target SNR on my router I can hit manage 1500k sync (1.2meg) :( better than all the houses around me, they can only get 500k! (Yes I'm a geek - lead windows programmer for a major agricultural machinery manufacturer!)

I'm with BT infinity and it is horrendous, even at its best its average. Any time of the day when there is chance i'll be using it at home, ie. of an evening it is laggy, intermittent and makes me want to put a sledgehammer to the router at times!

I'm looking at ways of getting out of the 12 month contract... Tips welcome

That sounds like you have a noisey phone line as this will make it slow. Also check the white modem has 3B on the bottom of it, if it hasn't then that could be failing...

As audicruiser said it could be that your white modem is failing. BT had recently recalled these due to overheating and users reporting issues with their connection. I had mine changed for free and the company came at a time that suited me.

Turkster that's a good deal, you couldn't complain with that!
