Hi,

I've always had a bit of trouble getting into 1st. Although the gear oil claims to be lifetime I have found with other cars that a change of oil can do the trick. So I first tried Granville oil, which made no difference, and then I bought Miller CRX GL4-5 oil. This unfortunately has made matters a little worse.

Any help and oil advice much appreciated.

Cheers,

Why not just go with Audi recommended / approved fluid from the dealer?

What is the recommended oil grade for it.
I have just changed the oil in my GT-Four and it is now soooo smooth through the gears and even reverse which was a bit stiff before.
I used Silkolene SILKTRAN SYN 5 75W-90 Fully Synthetic Gear Oil from opieoils.

It could be the clutch by the sounds of things.

When it feels like it doesn't want to go into gear try putting it into another gear like 3rd and release the clutch up a little, then press the clutch down again and then if it goes into 1st okay it could be worth getting checked out?!
