Been off line for a while due to AS-net's technical problems over the last few months!

J7USS - what's happening with your new car then?

Am selling the Defender currently - anyone interested PM me.

Looking at a B5 RS4 tomorrow in Avus :greyrs4:! :hubbahubba:
If all ok will be MINE ! :rockwoot:
If no good, then will be getting a nice Noggy S4 Avant...:applaus:

Didn't realise how good the S4 was until I'd gotten rid of it. :tocktock:
Glad I did though however, as the depreciation over the last year's been a bitch innit?!

Lots of new emoticons too!! :nyah: :sex: :p

Ah there's a blast from the past! Hows things?

B5 RS4 is the best RS4 IMO, good luck

you'll be pleased to hear that the latest B8 S4 is the spiritual successor to the B5 S4.... 3 litre super-charged, so not quite the same fizz-bang as the turbo'd B5, but should still be lighter and more tunable than the B6!

Hey there. How frustrating's it been not being able to respond to any posts over the last few months?! All sorted now that's the main thing.

Yeah all good.
Was due to go to Dubai if you recall end of last year which all fell through. Ended up selling the 1.8T (190) and buying a Defender = too old and miss the Audi so am back in the game!

B5 RS4 - I've always loved them and wanted one, now they're affordable so long as they've been looked after, i.e. no big bills. Have been on the RS246 forum for a while checking everything out.

Almost bought an RS6 saloon last week - absolutely mint, but just out of my price range.

The S4 is 2nd choice, but have seen a good 'un, and in Noggy Blue which is lovely. Has a Milltek too which is a bonus.

:eyebrows:

B7 RS4 Avant (with ceramic brakes) for me next I think...

:yahoo:

Has the forum been so bad you couldn't get on it then? I know it's been pretty bad of late but i've always managed to get on.

I thought you were going overseas, but I couldn't be sure so didn't mention it as I thought I must have been confused, which is quite common

A noggy S4 is a worthy second choice, if just for the V8 rumble! Thats the only thing that would draw me to a B7 RS4 over a B5 is for the V8 I think. I saw a silver RS4 B5 at the weekend actually, in Somerset I think it was - very subtle too.

Total lack of access apart from reading the threads.
Only got a response from AS tonight that all was back and running...

The V8 was/is awesome. I only really appreciated it once it had gone. With a Milltek even better, as it should sound direct from Audi IMHO.

Can honestly say I've only actually seen maybe 6 RS4's on the road. Hardly any of them down here in Kent. Much more exclusive...

;)

that's weird.... I couple of weeks back, the forum was down for a few mornings and then for about 12hrs on the one day...

e-mail notification have been flakey the last two days.... aside form that, it's been fine.... look a tth etime and date stamps of all the posts!

He's Back!!!
Hows it going??

Yes My car has gave me more Ball ache than I thought it would.
After my 4th Bumper I finally got the real deal and not some "blue Peter" replica - Thanks to Richard:beerchug:
Everything is sorted all by the Spraying due to my cousin going on his hols, everything has been put back for 3 weeks so hopefully bits wil be sprayed by next weekend then whack them on = Job done!! Cant wait for my Picture whoring lol!

Been spending a few pennies as you have to but all worth it in the end.It aint even completed yet and Ive got people asking me to sell it, been offered some real good money aswell....:eyebrows::think:.

So its the B5 RS4 then? Goooooood choice, I remember in your last mail you was saying you was tempted with the RS6 but put off with the maintainence costs etc. Just a shame the RS6 doesnt come in good old Manual aswell.

The B5 RS4 is defo the right choice out the ones you stated last time - B7 RS4 being the ultimate but out your grasp so its gotta be the B5! You've had the S4 so you need to have a dabble in the RS4 really dont you.

Did you get rid of the Mrs A4 too? what she driving now?...or you buying her the S4:)..

Hi !
Been keeping an eye out for a new sig ! You'll have to let me know what you're plans are. You may have posyed this already I've missed it.

Rs6 DSG thang is fine. Gearbox can't handle the power though, and a v expensive repair.

Still got the tdi. It's only done 66k miles and a really good drive. Doesn't miss a beat. Would love her to have the S4 but she couldn't afford the fuel consumption. She's happy with 45mpg, not 20mpg...

Went and checked out the RS4 this arvo - couldn't wait. Rocked up and there it was. Gorgeous. :sex:
Gave it good going over outside, and all sound. A few minor scratches but will all polish out. One slightly kerbed rim = £50 done.
Inside just needs some TLC also = half leather. Some creasing but no cracking or tears.
A slight tappety noise from the engine but sound. A mate from the RS246 forum came out in his Misano red RS6 Avant (MRC Stage 2 tuned 520bhp - 0-62 in 3.5s) with VAGCOM and found only 1 fault, which was an exhaust gas temperature low reading - maybe £150 to sort.
Serviced 2k miles ago. Cambelts 10k miles ago.

Took it for a spin and she flies, may even have a remap but cant tell. A trip to a rolling road is needed to check.

Left a deposit and with a MASSIVE grin. :undwech:

Will pop back up there probably Saturday to pick her up, providing the MoT gets done tomorrow.

Oh yeah !! All for just over £11k :footy:

You Swine!!!:)
Fair play to you mate, you gotta get some Perv pics up once you get it.

You'll certainly beat me to it,ha... My sig is stuck there for life, just goin to fade it out a little  Defo prefer my blue one to the red though - its a stealthy beast which you will all see maybe by next xmas at this rate.lol

The 1.8T you had was a nice motor though. If your RS4 hasnt had a MAP then you know you got to get one on it....one thing at a time though eh!

£11k in Avus, Its amazing how much you can pick them up for now, I remember them being £20k+ couple yrs back and still see some at £15k.

So its an Ear to Ear grin even on a bad day :respekt:

It was a toss up between the S4 Avant I had before and an Rs4 then and that was c£22k, maybe 2 1/2 yrs ago. Have seen some B5 RS4's going for £25k even now, with v low mileage - Nick Johnson usually sells them...

Will probably take it to the next RR Chip n Spin day, to see what it's doing. Will know from the results whether it's standard or not.

Yeah the 1.8T was lovely, got almost excatly how I wanted it, with only the wheels really left to do, but then Dubai came along... Ho hum...

Dont worry pics will be posted, once I've given a good clean.

:respekt: Wow! £11k too, nice :)

Roll on saturday, can't wait to see some pics! Good luck injecting life into the RS4 thread

I saw this and thought of you ;)

That silver one I posted was owned by a guy on here who posted a couple of times after Ultimate Dubs but then went quiet.

Wheel porn indeed

My fave :)

GOT IT !
A 300mile drive back this afternoon, with 50miles still left in the tank - brilliant.

Gonna give it good clean tomorrow and will post some pics then.

What a fantastic engine.

:)

Congratulations mate. Stunning car, by the sounds of it. I'm sure none of us are at all jealous though

Sounds like a very nice example, I can't wait to see the pictures.
