fuel filter removal

    anyone removed their fuel filter from a3 2.0 tdi
    have removed the lid , filter seems to rotate and pushes down against a spring .
    have given it a bit of a heave but it wont come out
    i stoped as didnt want to brake anything ?

    The filter is held on by 'o' rings and needs a good pull to remove it.
    Watch out for the odd spillage of fuel when it comes out.
    I syphoned of some diesel with a syringe before removing.

    Just screw it off and give it a good yank - as said, it will spill and because it is in a vacuum and it will splurt everywhere so be carefull

    You could clean it out a bit as well as it will be minging and black
