I'm wanting to change the fuel filter on my A3 but I wanting to know if any one with a CR(CBAB engine code) engine has done this and did they need to use the VCDS to prime the pumps before starting the engine as I have read that after a certain year of build spec just turning the key will not work.
This is the same fuel filter housing I have
Also which filter is required with this housing been looking on the car parts sites as there are a few to choose from and I think it the one without the blue inner 5 ring seal but the single narrow hole and flat bottom filter I need.I know the easy answer is to take the lid off and look but I would like get the right part first time and I know many of you out there have already done this job before.
