I have a 2011 Audi S3 8P i've only had it for the last 15 months, recently serviced by audi today and they told me that my 'front final drive unit' is leaking oil and they advise replacement at a cost of £3351.43. I was told that they do not usually see this type of problem, which is exactly what they said when my haldex pump broke about a year ago (which i had replaced by audi). Just wondering if anyone who knows about these items thinks the misting/leaking from the front final drive unit could be caused by the replacement of the haldex pump. Also if this has happened to anyone else please get in touch and advise how you were able to fix it, do you really need a new drive unit or can you replace the seal?
