    Hey Guys,

My Pads are near the end.. I am thinking on replacing them with

Hawk Perfomance Ceramic Brake Pads (Front, Wear Sensors)

My only doubt is whether the discs will be compatible with ceramic discs origin 170PS in the A3 or if they cause damage to the discs in short time.

    Opinions?
    Alternative source pads mid-range?

Ferodo DS2500 are very popular in this country for performance pads.

Totally agree....I bought a set as a stop-gap between the OEM pads and a big brake kit when AMD and myself are set on which to go for.

They do have a little less fade, but the downsides are the persistent squealing, and to be honest, not a lot of difference in performance relative to the OEM pads.
    (Thats the "Redstuff" pads).

    Overall about 3/10.

And in your view, what is more important?

keep same disc size upgraded to grooved and vented or increase to 312mm oem?

Pads, I've seen that consensus is Ferodo.

Grooved and vented disc's will not make much difference. Larger disc's is definitely the way to go.

Ferodo is not too aggressive / corrosive to use with OEM brake discs ?

Interesting, I was going to buy a set of these as everyone shouts about these pads but then found through reading various forums that they are illegal for UK road use.

Will probably go for the Ferodo DS Performance (new name for DS2000) instead

DS2500 are, IMO, rubbish, very heavy dusting and I got horrific judder on my BMW with these (as have others who have used them at trackdays). EBC Yellowstuff is a better pad IME.

A PAGID RS pad will be a better bet.
