From Concert Tape Stereo To Cd Player?

Ive got a 2000 S3 with the concert tape player (4B0035186C) it has bose and a cd changer in the boot but I've got the volume control button problem (plus a slight ringing in my ears after trying my best to fix it).

I was thinking about swapping it out for an oem cd player as I've spotted a few on ebay and a few seem to be from a3's

Has anyone else done this & if so can you point me in the right direction part number wise.

You just need a Concert II from an A3, other models have a very slightly different fascia which won't line up with the dash. Otherwise it will plug straight in.
Your biggest problem will be the lack of CANBUS to the HU on your S3. This is used to control the ignition on/off functionality on all Concert II's and you don't have it. So the HU will work but you'll need to turn it on/off manually and it will turn itself off after an hour
