Apart from the ridiculous cost should any work need doing, ive seen Audi do free MOTs on older cars (mines an 02 A3). Also, i noticed there's an offer where if you pay £50 now they cover the cost of any work up to £750 ; does this mean i could just pay it now and get a new brake discs etc for £50? (was told needed these when got Audi service last week)

Whats the catch with this offer?

I thought exactly the same as you, that there had to be a hidden agenda or something. But I have recently had a free MOT on my 02 S3 at the Bath Audi dealers and it went straight through and they even washed it for me....which was nice!

My thoughts were that if the car failed on anything then I would have the work done elsewhere!

Ive been told by Audi Glasgow that if I come for a service (which was £2 dearer than an independent specialist) they would enrol me in an Incentive scheme in which I get a Free MOT for as long as i own the car! Great Deal!

Is it called Club Class by any chance?

Glasgow Audi offered me this too. I joined.

Got a free MOT (genuinely free, no catch!) and reduced servicing costs.

At first I thought... to good to be true... but it seems genuine enough.

It's hard not to be cynical, but I decided just to take this one at face value and enjoy the £savings!

    So... happy days!

There is a form you can complete online, on Audis main site that entitles you to a free MOT

    http://www.audi.co.uk/audi/uk/en2/owners_area/Servicing_with_Audi/free-mot.html

...however I phoned them up to book my MOT before I'd filled in this form, told them that I'd be filling the form in; and they told me not to bother because "as a valued customer I was entitled to join heir Club Class scheme which entitles me to the above, and at no cost to myself"

    Win :)

iv just took my car the other day to plymouth audi and took the form with me. got a free mot and it passed. good news is even if it didnt you arnt required to have the work or the retest done at that garage.

for the mot protection service thingy.. it only cover non wear and tear items, so it wouldnt cover you for brake disc's/ pads/ tyres/ wipers etc etc but it would cover you for a cat if that was ever to collapse and you were to fail on emmissions etc so its not to bad but its not going to cover all costs.

only reason it will be free is to get you into the garage........ nothing more, nothing less - if you think they are simply being kind then you deluded :)

worth taking up though as your not obliged to have the work done by them ;)

Had mine done in July, failed on a tyre and anti-roll bar, both of which I sorted myself.

I paid the £50 to cover next years MOT upto £750. I reckon now mines on 100k bushes and stuff will need to be done so could prove handy.

I dont trust Audi to touch my car. I think they'd be fasinated with all the bits on it and take it for a drive.

I put mine in to where I got my Revo done. No advisories, great.

This should be fine aslong as the pattern isnt affected. Does it not clear if you leave your headlight on for a while?

Took my 2002 S3 with 160k miles and it passed at Audi, was expecting something to fail but all went well, even did a while u wait and used their nice lounge to have a couple of coffees, croissants and internet.

Its a free test, not a free fix, you will still have to pay for repairs if it fails. (you can take it anywhere for the repair work though)

Yea its a free test but i wont be using it again, had my car 4 over 3 1/2 hours, failed it on several rather stupid things. Also there offer of £750 worth of mot repairs for only £50... Look in the small print 4 what excactly covers

It is free so nothing 2 loss, but i wouldnt advice going to cheshire oaks audi for the test
