So I’m struggling to fit my forge tip on the turbo side.. it’s slides over the turbo easy enough but I can’t tighten th jubilee clip every time I tighten it, it just slides off no matter what I do it just won’t tighten, soon as I let go of the clip it just slides off again

Help

I know Badger provides the expensive high grip JBS clips with his oversized TIP. What about some hairspray ?

I’ve tried hairspray makes no difference, where can I get a high grip clip? The clip I’m using is just a standard jubilee but it just won’t stay put

what turbo? K03 is more tricky than a k04 due to stubby outlet... need to make sure everything is oil free

With cheap jubilee clips it is quite easy to screw up the thread if you tighten them too much. The clip will not provide any tension then and as you have found the pipe will not grip.
As stated above Bill provides and uses JCS Hi grip clips which I have found to be very good. Used them on my car when I did the wellycooler FMIC and they work great. Hair spray won't help if the thread has gone on the clip.

The thread hasn’t gone it’s a new clip, I haven’t tighten it enough for me to break the clip because every time I go to tighten it it just slips off

photos? did you see how close the thread Tuffty posted got the Jubilee clip to the turbo, is it possible it is too wide instead of pinching the silicon? was the TIP trimmed ?

Yeah mine gets really close but not flush also is it normal to be insanely hard to fit.. it’s pushing into the coolant hard line

I think I’ve figured it out.. I might need a thinner jubilee because of the small inlet

it does look incredibly tight doesn't it. but if you are clamped on the slope it will fall off wont it

why can't the Jubilee Clip get pushed in a further 1 cm?

I’ve managed to tighten it up now with the thinner clip.. how would I know if it pops off? Will it lose power
