ford cougar??

    I know it's not the usual stuff we talk about and a strange one to ask...

    But can anyone help or spread some Knowledge about the Ford Cougar V6
    can you modify the rear seats from being 2 seats to 3 seats
    there is definately enough room for 3 but due to them both being bucket seats noone can sit in the middle
    Please could someone spread some light reference this

    Great engine with Chain drive instead of cambelt.

    Dont know about seats but looks doubtful unless you get a trimmer to do the job.

    The one i had used to do about 26 MPG. Tyres are expensive if still on standard alloys. Chassis not good enough for the power.

    Far from Ford's finest effort it has to be said, poor engine, not very powerful and has a poor chassis.

    now there is a debate which was best the cougar or the probe .............. tough call on poorness

    or was that the probe as the cougar was out a lot later than the mx6 which i think the probe shared the chassis etc with.

    Pretty sure it was the Probe that shared the Mazda V6. Mind you when Ford went touring car racing in the late 90's they used a sleeved Mazda V6 to bring the capacity down to 2000cc fro regs.

    the car seems to go okay just shame about the seats
