Flat Bottom Steering Wheel - A6?

Has anyone fitted a flat bottom multi function steering wheel to their A6?

I have been watching them for sale on ebay of all places recently - and a specialist aftermarket seller, however my dealer seams to think that in no way will they be compatible? I'm just not sure??

Its obviously from a TT - but the description says it will fit an A6

It just the job for me if it does - ir MFSW controls - Paddle shift & has the silver stitching to match my interior.

The TT ones are not plug and play on the A6.

But I managed to fit mine successfully after a bit of investigation

Before you fit one, maybe you should take a look at this thread on TSN...

And regardless of what anyone says, there is no proof that this mod works in the real world.

Yes seen that thread before.
It certainly does bring home the fact that any sort of modding over and above OEM can have severe consequences as it can never be tested to the same level as manufacturers.

However in this instance, we are fitting a dual stage airbag to a dual stage controller unlike that in the thread so there is more confidence that it should work. Indeed, the C6 RS6 uses the same design of wheel and airbag from factory, with the same airbag controller common to the A6 range, further strengthening this theory.

The proof will be in the pudding...

Ok, yes sorry, I agree C6 is fine, in fact I have one on my C6. It works well with slight modification to the original harness to fit it to the TT wheel.
