Flat bottom retro fit

hi everyone, I currently have a 2017 s1. I have bought a flat bottom steering wheel from a 2014/15 s1. Does anybody know if I will be able to fit the steering wheel straight into my car and use my existing air bag?

Not 100% sure, but I think I read something a few years back that the airbags are different for the flat bottom wheel. Check out the A1 forum for more info on this.

Hmm I’m sure I remember reading this somewhere too but can’t seem to find it again. I checked on there can’t find anything, maybe I’ll post it in the a1 forum too!

I spoke to Audi just to be sure and they confirmed the airbags are different

On this same topic I’ve now found an s1 flat bottom with airbag off a 16 plate will it fit straight onto my s1? I assume it will but not sure if anyone here can confirm?

I’m 99.9% sure it will. The airbag was the big issue before, so you will be good to go now.
