fitting front s3 grill badge

right here goes first post of the new year.i have bought a new front s3 badge for my car from fleabay what could be simpler a quick two minute mod.wrong ! lifted the bonnet to gain access to the back of the grill and it doesnt look like its possible without major surgery.has anyone replaced this without removing lots of parts.is there a knack to it ? by the way health,wealth and happiness to everyone for 2007

Pull off the old badge making sure the clip on the back stays on the grill, then thread a lenght of brick tie tape (or some sort of wide tape) through the grill behind the clip.
Then push the new badge on whilst pulling on the brick tie tape keeping the clip on the grill.
It might be a bit fidley, but its a lot easier than taking the bumper off.

its just thick tape, u just need somethign to thread in behind the clip so that u dont push it back and behind the grille when u clip the new badge on
