Fitting cruise to DBW 1997 1.9TDi Avant - Whats required?

I had my A4 in at a local Audi specialist this week, the purpose was to fit Cruise control. I've found the code on Ross-Techs site to change the ECU and this went ok. I asked the garage to get the new stalk, which they did. They took the car to pieces to fit the stalk and found that there was a block of 6 connectors which need to be fitted to something to allow the cruise to work and there were no connectors on the car to fit it to? Can someone let me know if there are more parts required to install cruise on a DBW car and if so what do I need (part no's if possible) and instructions on how to fit it if anyone has them?
