fbmfsw parts

    i got a 04 plate and i managed to get hold of a fbmfsw with airbag
    i understand i need new slip ring and control module, does anyone know they best place to get these from? or does anyone have any for sale?
    im not too bothered if the steering wheel controls dont work as i got a after market headunit in there and i might been changeing the car soon
    any advice will be appreciated

    If you don't give a t0ss that the airbag wont work, and the mf doesn't function, then it will be a straight swap.

    It I was you though, I would be selling it on or keeping it for your new car if its an audi :)

    i thought it would be a straight swap but the airbag plug is very slightly different when i checked so im thinking i need a new slip ring
    next car is deff another audi

    Your airbag wont work no matter what plug you use.

    Your car uses a single stage system and the fbmfsw uses 2 stage.

    AFAIK there is no fix to get the airbag working correctly.

    theres been no proven deployment of the airbag with the fix which involves wiring the two stages together, so its unsafe as hell, if youre looking to shift the wheel and airbag on pm me i may be interested
