Fault help

Hi, I recently changed my steering rack as the old one had some serious play.

I got a new brand new one that is for a TT pn 8J2423055D.

I am now getting this fault code and am wondering if the coding is incorrect.

I had to do the adaption holding for five seconds left right etc... to get the assist to work but it all appears to be working fine appart from the fault code.

Does anybody know what the problem could be?

Do you know what is meant by : Steering Aid Characteristic Settings?

I had a look but, other that the coding im not sure what other settings i can change

Could mean the level of assistance given by the electric power steering, or how the steering gets heavier the faster you go.

Sorry mate - I don't have an S3 and I don't think the 2:0 tdi has 'steering aid' so can't help ! Someone will be along shortly to help I'm sure.

All sorted now thanks for the help. I had the DSR turned of in the assistance module for some reason.

Any body know what the driver steering recommendation does? Is it what varies the assistance so the steering is lighter when parking etc...? Because mine was doing that when it was turned off anyway
