The fan washer jets fit all A3 8P's & the part number superseded ages ago to the C variant as mentioned here.

They're heated, but they will still fit spray wise if yours arent heated originally, also you may have to extend one of the heated jets looms as mine required this to be able to plugin.

The plenum chamber cover where the jets fit was modified by audi at some point & actually has a slight raised area where the jets sit, thus holding them in tighter as they do seem a tiny bit loose on the older cover, they wont pop out, just a little loose overall.

Funny thing is, the part number for the cover never changed which is strange for audi, as all parts that were modifed or changed manufacturer had a part number change.

So I bought a newer one to make sure they stood fast in there holes.

Just fitted my fan washers and I did have to extend the near side wiring as it was a bit short as the plug is on the other side wasn't to bad to do just a bit diddly and bloody cold on the fingers they need ajustng tho as they are spraying a bit high do you undo the little Allen bolt to adjust them?

I reckon so having looked at the inside of them, mine are here but sod going out there to do 'em while it's this cold.
I'm not even sure if mine are heated tbh. But a bit of solder and heatshrink will do the job
if mine actually are and need extending. Did yours clip in ok southylad?

Not exactly the same fit as original jets mate but they clip in ok and working fine and the heater wires are just a bit fiddly to extend but got it sorted ok

Got mine & fitted them today :)

No need to extend anything on mine as they were a straight swap, & they seat properly too :)

Not overly impressed with the spray pattern, but I think a little more fine tuning is required.

re the spray pattern\angle: is that an allen key grub screw I see beside the nozzle & is it for adjustment of said pattern or just the angle?

    Thanks

Are yours heated then Ryan?, and your wires just fitted or did you just connect the nozzles?

    Yep, mine are heated :)

My car is a pre-facelift, but right near the end of the line. Both my original nozzles have the heated plug on the same side like the new ones, so no need to stretch any cable. I can only guess at some point Audi changed the design & the way they put the nozzles in (i.e. one part for both instead of a different part number for o/s & n/s).

Did mine yesterday afternoon, but didn't have the time to adjust them as I had to go out, but I didn't need to make any mods to either connector wiring & they're a good, tight fit... MY09

Yay!! Mine is 09reg too, I may go out and do them today. How long did it take and what tools were required? Any tips to ease the fitting process?

I had fan jets on my old Golf and really liked them so may give this a try, anyone got any pictures of the actual jets fitted, before/after would be good?

I used a palette knife to lift an edge, then they just plucked out.

Tip: don't try to take the black retaining clip off completely, slide it back until it stops & the washer head will pull out of the connector without resistance.

Is it me or are these just not that good?

I ordered a set a couple of weeks ago and have just got around to using them today but they don't seem to live up to the hype.

I used them a couple of times on the motorway and they didn't really help with wiping off the salt covering the windscreen, whereas my previously installed triple spray washers did the job nicely as they soaked the windscreen. I found myself having to spray the windows for a good 5seconds at least just to get the windscreen wet enough? And even then the wipers couldn't really clear it.

Personally I think they're very good, I think the water spray is finer which may require more prelonged use, but overall they do a better job, positioning is key aswell I'm finding, bit more accuracy for these, as adjusted few times, now just need a small adjustment & will be perfect.

I wondered about that... When I installed mine they fit perfectly, cable didn't require extending, and when I test squirted them they didn't seem to need adjusting (I was expecting to have to - even had tools at the ready).

The spray, unadjusted, reached the top of the windscreen and seemed to cover it all so didn't bother adjusting it as it already seemed okay. Did yours have similar coverage when you first installed them? Tempted to adjust them anyway and see if it helps.

I'll give them a play and see if adjusting them up or down helps (may do one on each and compare results). Cheers Nige.

I think they need adjusting down mate.

I have mine set very low in the housing, almost at the lowest possible, with maybe a millimeter gap underneath! I'm sure one even catches a wiper arm before it moves! I found that with them set any higher, a lot of the spray was going over the roof & off the sides of the screen.
