Factory installed iPod dock

Hi fellas
I have a issue with my a3 2009 sport back iPod dock in the glove box. It was working,playing music and charging however about a week ago it stopped working it won't charge the head unit (choruslll) won't even recognise the iPod. I tried an iPod touch 4th generation. Any ideas!!!!Btw this is the head unit

Was the dock an after-market fitment rather than factory fitted? First port of call would be to check the wiring from the unit to the dock.

Non its original from Audi( factory fitted)
