I have a set off facelift lights that are like new as the old ones are fairly dull so thought id replace them so it looks a bit cleaner now one off the lights has no adjuster motor how easy are they to swap out from my existing lights to the newish ones ??????

Also got tge steering rack which will be going on today hopefully dont have the part number of it yet as its in packaging and quite manky with residue fluid but this one has no damper =)

and heres the shiney clean o/s one -

the o/s one is a depo light so is presumably not from 2000 but the n/s one is more or less same condition overall happy with the swap.

The motor twists out then you have to push the motor at the top to pull the rod out from the headlamp as it sort of slots in a groove pretty easy when you look at. Going to tackle the rack this week sometime off work thursday/friday so may ask the boss if i can do it in works time save me wasting another saturday morning/evening as im not in work saturday.

I often thought about using the motors from my PFL lights in the FL lights.

    Rack?
    Fast rack?

The steering rack is from a x reg TQS so has no damper where as mine has a damper the part number on it is 8d2 422 065 p. as the rack has play in it which is causing my steering to have a play spot so i constantly find myself making constant little adjusments with the steering wheel theres nothing in the uj so its pointing to the rack as ive just replaced all the control arms/TRE so finger crossed it will cure my problem and give me a bit better steering with the none damper rack.

    Damper?

We got dampeners in our racks?

Possible being a bit silly and simple.
    What do they do?

its is across the range or a TQS thing?
