What are your opinions on getting the Scotchguard external protection for paintwork?

I used to get it done, but knowing what I know now about claying, polishes and quality wax/sealant i would never bother again. I spent about £100 on quality products from polished bliss and had enough to do the car 10 times over with much better results, much deeper wet look shine than when I got the dealer bodycare on the car when it was new.
waste of money imo, had it on my 1st A3 havent bothered since, just give it good coat of wax yourself,..
Ok thanks guys. Kinda what I thought, but a pal of mine who used to work in a stealers was telling me to go for it.
Not saying it's a bad thing, as it will look good but you can just do a better job yourself for a fraction of the cost.
