Exhaust fabrication

    Looking to fabricate an exhaust myself...cat back, anyone done this with good results? Im wanting to achieve a less restictive exhaust system but with a subtle sound. Loud is out of the question. My mate can weld/fabricate the sections.But where would I be able to buy the pipe from. Car in question a3, 1.8T, 2001. Cheers

    I bought the mandrel bends/pipe for mine from a combination of eBay and JBS chap. Silencer boxes were sourced from a local exhaust fabricators. You can also get the flanges from the above too, though I went for a fully V-banded system.

    V band is the way to go, made a nice cat v band for Mr MOT, 5 mins and its changed...
