Just a quick question here after some sluggish quarter mile times here, and i think i may know the answer here but would like professional comments here.

On my exhaust system, OEM system till after cat then milltek, i have a blowout/hole around my flexi pipe. but what i am wondering is if it is causing me some loss of power? not a major loss but still noticeable? i am vaguely aware that exhaust pressure can play a part in the runnings of the engine via air/gas flow? but not sure and i am not a mechanic ha!

    thanks for any input

On an NA car yes but far less so (if at all) on a turbocharged one.

Yep turned out to be dv vaulve totally deteriorated. Got one from awesome gti delivered in few days for 50 quid all in. Best bit of money spent. Car feels like a new machine :) was told that blown exhaust right enough dont cost much power on a turbocharged car right enough !
