evo magazine 181 an excellent read - no spoilers

This months evo magazine (181) is well worth a read, if like me you've grown up with the hot hatch and later 4wd turbo cars there are some great tests:

Driven: R8 V10 v 911 C4S Powerkit - so closely matched.

Extreme hatches: A1 Quattro v Mini JCW GP v RS500 v R26.R on road and track. Brought back great memories of R26.R ownership for me.

All grown Up: Megane RS265 v Focus ST Superchips V Scirocco R v M135i (well it had to be didn't it) - all good comparable machines to those many on here drive.

Greatest Mitsubishi Evo's - brilliant look back at an icon. For all it's flaws the IX MR 360 was a special motor.

I've been a (Performance Car!) and then evo subscriber from the start and this is one of the best editions of the magazine to date.

You beat me to it , I like the test of the A1 quattro, they say its got the best driving/steering feel of any RS Audi to date!! That will upset the S3/RS3 boys lol
The test of the 6R4 Metro is a good read as well.
