On the euro s3's the speedo goes up to 300kmh which is roughly 180mph how come uk ones only go to 160?

No don't think they are, it's the euro part that puts the limiter on I think, something about German cars are all limited, not sure about Porsche though actually

    Different spacing on speedo?

On this topic, has anyone got it to the speed limiter yet? I had it at 144mph this morning and still pulling strong.

I presume you both did this on the Autobahn, a closed road or an airport runway?

    Otherwise

    Well since I saw 151mph from a stock Audi A3 8V TFSI 180, I think the S3 can do better !

I'm hoping mine will pull 150mph plus on our way to Geneve next winter. Colder air temperature and clear auto route / autobahn usually result in some entertaining high speed sorties into the Haute Savoie.

With a stage 1, I think 160mph may be possible, but I'm unsure if the heat transfer and turbo perpetuality would be affected under such high loading for long periods.

On our way down this year, we pulled 155 for 55 minutes and almost used a full tank of 99 Ron......!

I'm surprised the car internals took that amount of punishment for that long (including the tyres), but mostly I don't think I could concentrate that hard for that long!
