    Folks - I have a 2005 Sportback, 1.9tdi, BKC engine.

I need a part no for an "alternator pulley" (dunno what this is, apparently seized up) and also a new belt (is this the poly v belt?)

    Approx prices too if available?

    Cheers!

Jimpa/Mike - thanks a lot for the help.

Does it matter if I go OEM or not? I found this on ebay that says would suit my car:

eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace

Does this look like a go? Otherwise i'll just go to the Audi Parts dealer nearest to me.

PS - 028903119AM / 028903119C - Why do these have different letter endings?

    Thanks again to both

Its the same part, 028903119AM / 028903119C = same part.
But because i work with alternators and starters look for original clutch pulley .The original pulley is only Ina.Ina can make more than 100000 kms rather than other like zen or some other brands. So look for Ina.

Make sure you at least check with your dealer you bought the right part, as the wrong one could have rather serious implications.

Thanks Nige / Mike / Jimpa - yeah - decided to go for the genuine ones. Managed to get the Pulley / Belt and a spacer (apparently recommended) through a friend working at a VAG Trade specialist for £69 all in - all OEM genuine VW/Audi Parts. Hopefully that'll sort things!
