A mate wants to sell me some AUDI TT s line rims with ET52 offset and a stretch of 18x9.
what do you guys think.
do you think it will rub when compared to rims with ET35 and 18x8.5.

tyres used will be 225 40 18

I think you'll need spacers to clear the rear struts, and possibly spacers on the front as well. 10mm on the rear and 8mm front will have them sitting well in the arches.

225/40/18 should work ok, 215s would be better. How low is the car?

im slightly lost here. the standard offset of the wheels taken off wereET54 with a 7.5 stretch. now im going for a 18 with a 9.0 stretch, why would i need spacers?
the car is about 45mm low
All depends how close to the strut you are in std form ,
Your 9.0" wheels are 1.5" wider than standard so 1.5" /2 = 0.75" per side (19.2mm) and your new offset is 52mm compared to 54mm (old offset) which means new wheels will be sitting 2mm away from strut so your wheels will be 19.2mm-2mm= 17.2mm closer to strut , so if you measure distance to strut from wheels that are coming off it will tell you how much space you will have :)

I2m pretty slammed, half finger gap, I ride on et35 with 18*9 rims.. Rubs when we are 3 or more & bounced..

So it wont be rubbing at all I guess.. :)

Oh I got -2.2 camber on rears..

in front, they rub while turning..

This.....
Higher offset and wider wheel brings the wheel closer to hitting the strut.

Yeah man, 17.2mm closer to strut, based on given figures, hope it's easy to see with my vague working out:meeting:

definitely needs lowering..
im not innocent here.
i put 8.5x18 with ET35 on mine with
coilovers and the rears rub with every bump.
so i need to get shot of the rims now.
