Sorry to create a new thread but some of the errors have gone, egr errors seemed to have disappeared, now I've got these. Any ideas. Battery is fine. But its doing my head in. My local Audi mechanic has injured his self so I'm stuck.

You are getting a very specific and unambiguous error code i.e. no signal from the crank sensor. This points to either a faulty sensor or a fault (e.g. loose connection) between this sensor and the ECU. Given the other codes, your other thread and the fact that this happened immediately after going over rough ground, I would carefully "eye ball" and check the sensor in question and its wiring all the way to the ECU.
 
Would this be the speed sensor your referring to. I've been told it's up behind the gearbox and is a pretty big job to do on an A4
