I have been wondering what to do for a while now with the car, do I keep it and go down the big turbo route with rods, pistons etc, or do I just sell it and get something newer? that got me then thinking of swapping the engine. I was considering swapping the 1.8T for the 2.0TFSI from the new S3 and mating it up to the OE Haldex. This would give me the option of 375BHP with an OE turbo that spools from 2000 rpm and the additional torque of the 2.0 litre motor. Has anyone done this swap, if so what are there opinions, Before everybody jumps in with the problems with the can bus and immobilizer issues, i have already done a few 2.0 TFSI conversions and know how to get everything working, I am just after opinions and to see if anyone has one in an 8L.
