afternoon all ,EMS light came on last week also noticed that temp gauge stopped working and that the cooling fans are constantly on ,could be a connection i think, anyway car in garage to br sorted hoping for a cheap fix ,will keep informed about outcome ,was wondering if buying an odb connector and software was cost effective

Collected car ,there were a few error code mostly to do with engine temps , main one being going into limp home mode and the result being the coolant fan being on constant, after a few tests it's being narrowed down to thermostat or a faulty sender, so the thermostat is going to be replaced, minimum 2-hours labour to replace so not the cheapest

No 2.0 but the 20 valve version , anyhow took car for a quick blow on motorway everything seems fine , the replacement parts cost over £100 now all I've to sort is the radio as piss poor reception
