Hi Guys,
My Wife was driving my Audi A4 2.0TFSI 2006 and the dreaded Emission Control Light came on the dashboard (it stays on and does not flash btw). I then decided it was time to take it to a VW/Audi specialist and after plugging in his VAG-COM and checking the codes he told me it was the breather valve (seemed pretty sure). I decided before I would book it in for repair and pay him a small fortune, this might be something I could do myself.
All the symptoms and fault codes pointed towards the PCV valve, so I ordered the PCV (part number 06F129101N) and a new gasket from Audi.
I asked a semi-retired mechanic friend of mine to change this for me and thought that would crack the problem after clearing the codes but to my despair it came back on the next day and now stays on!
I can't say I have noticed any problems when driving the car but it does vibrate a little when idle but I think this is normal... I have also noticed over a period of 3 months it does shoot forward a little (hardly noticeable) when pulling out of my drive at slow speed but not sure if this is related (could be wrong..)
The codes that the VAG-COM displayed are shown below:

System too rich off idle, Bank 1
System too lean at idle speed
2/3 ID:2261 - 01
Recirculating valve for turbocharger -
N249 mechanical malfunction
short circuit to another valve
3/3 I: 0507 - 01

Idling speed regulation RPM above specified value
value of resistance too small
I am completely lost now and close to pulling out all my hair so hopefully someone on this forum might be able to help me having experienced something similar or know more than I do (which isn't much!) and perhaps have a solution to this problem and locate the actual issue?
I have read it could be the 02 sensor but then again various posts and forum say it could be any number of things because from what my friend said Check Engine Lights are a dealers/mechanics dream. It can end up costing hundreds in labour to locate the problem and then you drive away and it is still not fixed which is something I obviously want to avoid.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance!
