My S3 has recently giving me a spot of bother and hoping someone will know what it might be.

  • Driving as usual, and my battery warning light comes on.
  • I carry on driving to get home and then after a minute or two, my ABS and traction lights appear.
  • Also my head unit / sat nav has switced off and died down.
  • Lights/all electrics are either dead or very weak.
I then try to get home quicker and tried to put my foot down a little (not thrashing) but it started holding back strongly, like it was being restricted of airflow (sudden hicups).

This has happened once before on the motorway about 2 months ago, but that time the battery warning light never came on and once I got it towed home it started without any issue - I was told it had a faulty MAF sensor.

Could this be a battery/alternator problem as thats what I think
or a MAF sensor problem..?

Any advice/help would be very much appreciated..

Yeah sound very similar.

This happened to me last year the night before Nurburgring. Lucky a mate had one at his yard.

I have a brand new refub'd one at home PM me if you need one.

Ok cool will get in touch once I got some funds + time, I am looking to carry out a full service and include the alternator change in that but waiting for payday and work is too ****** hectic lol - cheers though.
