Hi, looking input/advice from the A4 masses... I have an A4 Avant 1.8T LE (2004 - B6), last week during another of our Northern Irish cold snaps (daily) i went to put the electric window down on the drivers side and it didnt go down, no disastrous noises or anything it just didnt lower when i wanted it too. Obviously being a bloke i tried a few times but still nothing.. Today i called at an Auto sparks and he told me it could be the regulator (thats the term he used), he described it as a piece of steel wire that would normally snap if the window was frozen in place and was trying to open. Would this be a fairly correct diagnosis, has anyone else experienced this and if so what were the repair costs involved..? If i could do it myself i would but obviously don't want to attempt something which could be beyond me.. Any help apprecieted.. Thanks Avo..
