electric sunroof conversion question

can the electric motor be removed and switched to manual?

Not sure if the A4 ever had a manual option. There is an emergency manual wind feature with an allen key type thing. All I know is that it was possible with the earlier B3 and B4 cars to from manual to electric but why would you want to convert backwards anyway?

because it has stopped working, was working fine, parked the car up for a few months and now nothing.....

+1 Why on Earth would you want to bodge it backwards?

Can you test if you have power to the switch? if so does the power get to the motor? may just be a faulty switch, or the motor.

yeah would be interesting. My sunroof is as dead as, im going to try and drop the motor out and test it. But would be interesting to see if got anywhere with yours....
