i have an audi a4 with a bkd engine fitted to it, out of an a3. the ecu im running is my blb ecu for the a4. as many of you will no my cars running *****, will it really be making that much difference? they are both 2.0 tdi's? im told the ecu does not match the engine by an ecu specialist and i need the right ecu for that engine but id need it coding etc, how can i determine which ecu is the right one? or would i just be best getting a remap? in theory this would cure this? its like my car is over fuelling, hence struggling to start as theres too much going on in the cylinder and also causing the smoke? what are your thoughts on this? does anyone no anyone who would put a remap on to see if this was the issue? and if it sorted it id be happy to pay or do you think its a bit much to ask?
