bought my car with a private plate on, now ive sent away to put the original plate back on.
anyone know how long it will take to get the documents back from the DVLA?

Are you removing the plate and keeping it on retention, if so you would have filled out the V317. I did it about 3 years ago cost £100 to put on retention and docs were back with me in 10days.

Yes but the guy I bought the car is paying for it and he's keeping the plate. It's been about 8 working days so far!

Mine took about 12 days (was done 18 months ago).

I did mine at the start of this month, it took 1 week. Sent of docs on monday 4th and got it all back on the 12th. Just waiting for the refund on the tax from the old car.

We'll I might have to phone my local dvla office next week and see what's going on then.....
