Hi everyone
i have always wanted one on all of my turbo durvs. but have never look in to it. i have the 140 2.0 TDI on an 06. it already sounds like it has one on when you come off the boost quickly, but can you get a louder one and what would it cost ? cheers

You can get them but they are alot more pricey and need to be done by someone who knows what theyre doing... I think we have the same mind because you seem to be doing everything i want to.

No offence pal,but why would you want one?

It will give no performance gains whatsoever, and cost you an arm and a leg.

However, it will make people look at your car, but for all the wrong reasons

My opinion only though mate :)

Get a remap instead :0)

i know what you are saying but i dont want a big dirty loud one but just a bit more crisp. its more for me than an attention thing mate. i am not one of these who likes neons and bus exausts.if its gonna cost a small fortune may go for something else...

Forge used to make one but have stopped now. Seriously mate i know it`s your car but don`t put a dump valve that can only loose power from the car on a diesel engine.

Have to say i have the same urge but the dump valve is getting to be something of a thing of the past now. its not cool anymore. i of cause love the sound of the car doing it and spend ages finding the sweet boost spot to let off and listen to the nice chatter of the in house valve.

Sorry but it was never ever cool to have a dump valve on a diesel car.:ermm:

I heard a A3 TDI with one on the other day and it sounded wrong...it was a young lad driving it and he thought he was "BAD ***" me and my mates heard it and just laughed it was really bad!

I was tempted with a dump valve on my TDI but I dont think it would sound too great coming out of a diesel so I left that one off the list.. dump valves have the stereotype of old ford escorts with big turbos..

I would go with the remap instead bud :)

just my oppinion, let us know what you go for!
