DSG lever change

I have the early type DSG lever (alloy shafted one looks like an auto) and have just ordered a newer shape one with the leather boot, are they just a straight swap or will i have some hassle?

pritty straight forward, whih bits have you ordered, i did mine when i had the A3

Good news then!, I ordered the whole lot including the surround and matching ash tray (going from piano to brushed) and you cant get the old type dsg shifter surround in brushed hence forcing me to get the new one
