DS 2500 arrive today...

    My new pads arrive today via Fedex, anyone got any tips I should know or do when fitting these to standard disks and calipers?

    make sure you clean and grease up the slider pins

    otherwise its just like fitting any other pads

    Thanks Matt, when you say grease up the slider pins is that with Copper Slip or should I use another type

    normal grease. copper slip is abrasive and the caliper moves on the slider pin, i just use normal grease.

    wire brush the slider pins up till they prestine clean.

    other than that, the pads are like any other pads to fit

    What do you do with the break wear warning cable as the new pads dont have any thing on them

    pull the wires off the old pads, strip the ends off, crimp/ solder tape/heatshrink and plug back in.

    if i do the above it will stop the warning light coming on, but wont come on when the new pads wear down, is that correct
