Turns out I've got a dodgy MAF and will be replacing it once I find where to get a new one :(
What I want to know is if it's okay to drive around with it disconnected until the new one turns up? Or should I reconnect it and put up with my revs bouncing around...

na you'll be fine, the traction control light will come on and stay on..... the car will just use the preset settings as opposed to real world settings which the MAF would ordinarily give

Cheers, I just got my mate from a garage to order me a new one so should have it tomorrow or Thursday anyway... £88

Yeh always wondered why the traction control light comes on when and Air flow sensor is disconnected :S
