Hi Guys,

Got a 53 plate a3 3.2 v6 Q.

I have been having an issue with a scraping noise coming from the rear from the while but now its got really bad.

Somebody on the forum suggested the rear brakes and i got the garage to change the rear disks and pads but the noise is still there but has got louder.

To give u a description of the noise:

Its coming from the rear drivers side wheel arch.
It is scraping in nature.
Goes at very low speeds but picks up as speed increases.

What else could it be?? The garage did mention that anti-rattle was missing on that side but it always has.

Rear suspension, possibly?

I think I might have to take it into the dreaded Audi Bham who are going to charge me £118.00 just to diagnose the issue.

thanks guys

sounds like a possible wheel bearing issue which is bad news
I am an audi tech in the states and that is something that is covered in 4 years 50k miles. not sure how your warranty works over there but are you out of warranty?

this turned out to be the two rear bearings! had them replaced and now ive got a noise whenever i go over a bump. Any ideas, gona take it bak to the independant garage i had it done
