driveshafts S3/A3 8L

does anyone know if they are the same driveshafts? or if they fit both cars...

NSF S3 driveshaft will fit an a3 if its fitted with the 6 speed box. Other than that, no. This is presuming we're not talking about an a3 Quattro though.

no.. just a front wheel drive a3.. and its only 5 speed..

5 speed are not interchangeable with 6 speed.

no, they won't fit mate.

Also, what age is your car?

Pre July 98 will have 100mm flanges and ball / cage CV's, post july 98 will have 108mm tri roller inner joints.

They did a very mild facelift in July 98 which included the revised door handles, slightly different shifter mech, and I believe this is when the CV's where changed as well.
