Drivers Side Xenon Headlight

Hi all

Any ideas on what to do next. Been dazzling a few drivers down the country lanes so thought I better my headlights checked. Turns out the autolevelling is faulty & they can't replace the faulty part but have to replace the whole unit. Gonna cost me £600 fitted just for one headlight unit!

Any options other than the 2 below?

1. Source a 2nd hand one
2. Fit the A3 non xenons headlight unit - but apparently there will always be a warning light on the dashboard.

Hey,
I just got mine MOTed and it failed for the same reason but on the passenger side!
He managed to put it back so it would pass, but said that undoubtly it would go again!
He said that he has seen a couple and has drilled into the part and put a pin in so it cant move! It was an VAG specialist so i dunno if maybe others know about it!

you can unplug the motors behind the light and manually adjust them down the holes looking from the top
