Drivers seat removal

Hi all.

I need to remove my drivers seat from my B5 S4 so I can replace the foam base. I know the cover itself is a fiddly job to replace.

I was just wondering if anyone has removed their front seat before and if so how easy is it?

I don't think the seat has an airbag so would I still need to disconnect the battery?
