Dot 4 or 5.1 for 99 S4

Sticking on some new goodridge braided hoses an thought at 58000 it'd be worth changing the fluid? Do I stick with the standard dot 4 or can I upgrade to 5.1?

Either works really.

Some DOT4's can actually perform better than 5.1.

Should be changing brake fluid every 2 years anyway as it's hygrascopic (absorbs moisture). This is why brake fluid is sold with wet and dry boiling temps. TBH I've always found a good DOT4 is up to what I throw at my cars and by all accounts I'm told I drive like a bit of an animal. lol

ATE Super blue DOT4.
Putting it in the A4 in 2 weeks.

Any Super Dot4 will be more than up to the job.
I use it in my track cars to great effect.

If you havea Ford delear nearby (that stocks it) give them a try, you may be surprised.
