Door rub strip removal

    Are the rub strips only stuck on? Or is the holes in the door for the strips to sit in. Fancy a bash at removing them.

    Do you mean the lower door mouldings or upper mouldings, ive never removed the upper ones but the lower ones on the doors have a screw on the back side of the door then they just pull off to the rear of the car if you remove them and there the old metal runner type no doubt they will fall to pieces when they slide of as they rust and just crumble !!

    The top strip im wanting to remove. Not guna risk removing bottom leave that to the bodyshop. Wanting to smooth from bumper recess to. Anyone done this them selves?

    removing the rub strips will leave 3 or 4 holes in the door
