Having problems with driver's door lock sensors. It is an intermittent fault but annoying. Had the lock adjusted and that worked temporarily. Does anyone know how much replacement parts cost? The door locks but the interior lights stay on and the sunroof can't be closed with the key. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Surely this is still under warranty, so cost is not your concern /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Now you are getting technical! The car was registered 12/06/2002. Does that make it a mk 1?

Yes that means it's an 8L model (Mark 1) as opposed to the current 8P model (Mark 2)

If you look at your VIN number you will see that it starts WAUzzz8L...... With the mark 2 model the 8L is replaced with 8P. The are Audis model designations.

Yep, the mkII (8p) was released in 2004.

Sorry I can't help with prices.

Thanks for the info. I guess I will have to bite the bullet and go in for a quote. I must admit it is doing my head in having to close the door over and over again to get the warning sign to go off. ( Not so good for the car either! ) I am awaiting delivery of my new A3 2.0TDi Sport but I am selling this one to my daughter so I need it to be right.
