Dont know if its me being thick

But i can`t for the life of me find out how to make changes with VCDS,

I have tried to Enable gauge sweep so i have followed these instructions:

[17 - Instruments]
[Coding - 07]
[Long Coding Helper]
Click on each of the Byte numbers in step 3) and you'll see the selectable options below.
Check the box for "Gauge Test/Needle Sweep active"
[Do It!]

I can`t see any Byte numbers that i can click on, and i cant see any selectable table, any idea what im doing wrong?

Thats that then, so all i can really do is scan for and clear codes then?

Not really no, you can do logs to track down issues, recode modules, reset service indicators if you do your own, scan others cars, family friends, diagnostics for faults, it has a fairly comprehensive list, but not all will be used by everyone.
