Just bought one of these expecting them to be good enough for general stuff kept in boot (ITs a bootliner).

By the picture they look more rubber than foam.
Arrived yesterday and to my surprise its made out of very light foam.
Think foam that is used for packaging used to protect goods in transit and you will get an idea of what it is made from.

Very dissapointed as it cost almost €60 for a piece of foam that to be honest doesnt even fit as snuggly as you would expect. :( :wtf: :keule:

Why not send it back and get a refund then? You have 7 days after goods are delivered to decide if you want to keep them, provided you bought them on the phone or on the internet or mail order.

Well wish I knew that before I cut bits off it to make it fit good!

Stick it on ebay then, and state it as being a tailored fit for an A4, you might get something for it ;)

Is that not a Genuine part?
Am glad for the warning as keep seeing bootliners on Ebay (both rubber and plastic types) and kept thinking that the VagParts one would surely be better.....apparently not it seems!
Shame you cut it as I'm sure they would have taken it back, they are a good supplier and have been really helpful when I've dealt with them before......

If it's the boot liner shown here: http://tinyurl.com/tv4w8 it says 'Light weight foam rubber'.

I bought a boot liner for my A4 saloon from www.roofbox.co.uk
It's a harder, plastic type so difficult to pierce if you carry sharp objects (garden tools in our case).

Their code is Code: JV20-1434. It needed to be trimmed to make holes for the four luggage loops but otherwise fits very well.

It has a hard surface so bags etc. slide about if you don't have a luggage net.

yep, those rigid plastic load liners are the way to go. Contain spills well, and general garden centre type delivery abuse.

Just remember to take it out before you take the dogs anywhere though, unless they're any good at ice skating ;)
