The actual size of the ECU controller is different on the '8E0614111AB' unit (mine is a 8E0614111A). The top part of the AB ecu with has got the angled sides is shorter the my 'A' ecu, almost as though it has less or smaller solenoids in it, no way to make it fit unless I take the whole pump off as well and to be honest I can't be arsed. I wouldn't even get a guarantee that it'd all work properly. It may be that it came from a non-quatty car. What part number is yours?

non quattro cars dont have the EDL thing, so the ABS pump and controller will be different.

Aye, I'm thinking along the same lines... It's just that it was the only unit on fleabay that an '8E0' at the start of the part number opposed to an 8D0.. The hunt continues. I should really change the rear sensors first though.
